In the News!

We are very pleased to report that phase 1 construction on the children’s home is almost complete (See building photos in multimedia section). A lot of progress has been made since we broke ground in December 2008. We are now working on the final touches – painting, windows, fixtures and legal permits. We hope to have the children moved in by May 2010. Phase 1 has capacity to accommodate 32 children.

The month of December was very busy with lots of very encouraging and positive activities. We are pleased that Jay Spears and Dr. Sarah Nelson have joined the board of directors to help steer the foundation to even greater heights. Jay and Sarah will help the foundation with strategy, leadership and performance.

We are very grateful and thankful for the generous donations that a lot of our friends sent during the month of December and particularly wanted to single out Patricia Frawley Bogucki for her generous donation in honor of her late mother in law, Mary Sue Bogucki. Patricia’s donation will greatly assist in stocking the children’s library. We also want to recognize Julia Bondy, Jeremy Williams, Neil Sheehan, Frank Powers, Sarah Nelson and Jack Harrington for their very generous donations and continued support.
